Meet the Team
Meet our team members. We’re not typical for a bike shop.
Chuck Panaccione
Chuck started working in bike shops during high-school back in the late 80’s and even worked as a wheel-builder in the Mavic sag car during the Tour of DuPont. He received his Masters in Statistics and Computer Science and worked in high-tech for many years. To relax from the demands of work, he designed bike components, built custom wheels and started Superfly Cycles (yes, his couch is never used). Eventually he realized he was happier when surrounded by bikes instead of at a desk. Now he is a co-owner of Colorado Multisport and Superfly Cycles and is the mechanic for Craig Alexander and other pro-triathletes.
Chucks other passions include Tuscan red wine, French cooking and his daughter Amelie.
Michael Stone
Michael is a 10-time Ironman triathlete, coach, trainer, author and speaker. He is currently focusing on Xterra off-road triathlons and in 2010 was the Xterra USA Divisional Champion and came in second place at the 2010 Xterra World Championships. Michael has achieved these wins while legally blind. Six years ago he was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease called cone/rod dystrophy, which impairs the light receptors in his retina. Michael often can’t see contrast, and his vision is dotted with blind spots.
Michael has authored a book, Eye Envy, about a collection of people who despite dealing with blindness have gone on to live extraordinary lives. He races to raise money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness.
Ryan Ignatz
Ryan holds many fitting certifications that he uses to specialize in triathlon bike fitting, and has fit some of the top pros in the sport. Educationally, Ryan earned his BA and Masters degree in ‘cycling performance specific to aerodynamic quality’ which he obtained while under the guidance of Dr Allen Lim, sports physiologist to the world’s top cycling teams. Additionally, Ignatz has coached endurance sport athletes of all levels and various disiplines while personally competing in endurance sports at the Elite level. To round out Ryan’s knowledge of the body and its potential, he taught anatomy and physiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Geoff Nenninger
Raised as a swimmer from his earliest athletic memories, Geoff began racing triathlon at age 11 and has been hooked on two-wheeled sports ever since. In 1995, he was a member of the US Junior National Team at the Triathlon World Championship in Cancun, Mexico. Geoff was twice more a representative of the US, racing in both Queenstown, New Zealand and Madeira, Portugal, earning USAT and Inside Triathlon All-American accolades for his efforts. Finding success in the age-group ranks, he then decided to test his abilities against the best and moved up the ranks of the Elites.
Most recently, Geoff has dedicated himself to road racing and cyclocross. He specializes in every aspect of equipment selection, assisting athletes looking to increase their speed on the bike, be it for triathlon, time-trials, cyclocross, or road racing.
Tom Hopper
Tom has been involved in the bicycle industry for 12 years working for REI, multiple amateur cycling teams, and the past 3 years based in Europe as a Team Mechanic for Garmin/Transitions professional cycling team. While working for Garmin/Transitions, Tom was the go-to guy for Wind Tunnel testing with top riders including Christian Vande Velde, Dave Zabriskie, Tyler Farrar, David Millar, and Tom Danielson.
Spending time wrenching in the high-pressure world of ProTour cycling and in the wind tunnel with elite athletes and leading aerodynamics companies like Zipp and Felt has given Tom a complete view on product performance. His perspective on functionality from a mechanical and maintenance standpoint, as well as a real-world understanding of the demands on high-performance parts make him a critical part of Colorado Multisport.
Tom currently resides in Broomfield, Colorado with his Fiance Alie. He also enjoys Scrabble in the park, shredding the gnar and Big Buck Hunter.
Celesta Howe
Celesta Howe won her first mountain bike race in Winter Park back in 1996. After she blew her lungs out getting to the top of the Hill Climb race, someone told her she should have enjoyed the scenery since there were no other women in her category! Since then, she has competed in short and 50+ mile mountain bike races across the Western states. Last year, she made the leap into Xterra racing. Celesta runs the marketing and advertising programs for CMS and Superfly and helps other women get geared up to successfully obtain their goals.
Celesta spends time on the yoga mat and as a mom to our youngest sponsored rider, Amelie, who is known to get tough and dirty on the bike while wearing her tutu.
Steve Richárd
Steve Richárd originates from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before discovering his talent in triathlon, Steve played baseball, football, lacrosse, track and cross country. In 2010, Steve competed in the Ironman Coeur D’Alene where he qualified for Ironman Hawaii. Steve loves numbers and recently graduated from the University of Colorado in accounting.
